About the Competition

It is with immense joy and excitement that we welcome you to the 2024 Melbourne Star International Music Competition, a symphony of talent brought to you by J&S International Education Group. The competition will take place from July 21st to August 18th, 2024, in Melbourne, Australia. The preliminary round will be held in the Flockart Hall, Methodist Ladies’ College in Kew, and the final round will take place in the sacred ambiance of the Church of All Nations, Carlton.

 

In line with the theme of ‘music enriches the soul, melody shapes personality,’ the main purpose of the Melbourne Star International Music Competition is to create a stage for musicians at all ages to showcase their talents, connect with the global audience, as well as encouraging and embracing integration of technology into music. It also aims to discover a new generation of musical talents and creative composers as well as launching an international music event to the world.

 

The Melbourne Star International Music Competition goes beyond the stage; it is an educational initiative designed to encourage teamwork, discipline, and creative thinking. Our esteemed panel of adjudicators, including distinguished educators and music professionals from Australia and China, will have the challenging yet rewarding task of recognising excellence in musical performance and creation. The competition is not just about winning; it is about embracing the learning journey and the collaboration that comes with making music together.
